This is a "weird thing" more than an in-joke, but, so far, all the
common personal names in Seinundjé (except for Feneng) are epithets
for the sun:

Kanjanj /kan`an`/ : Anger; heat
Árichesja /a:riSeSa/ : Burning-bloom
Njyar /n`jar/ : Alone
