Well, mostly because it is cool. And because 96 is 8x12, so it is
where the two systems come together. And because I didn't want to
count in 64s.
I'm getting even more convinced that the engineers have their own
simplified counting system. But the regular one is fun for the
various merchants and other people who tend to count in whole numbers.
