Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Most driven people have a little bit of i=
t--it's
what makes you chew your nails to the quick although you know you should
quit. It's what drives you to finish a project that consumes you into th=
e wee
hours
of the morning even though you know you should be getting some rest. But=
in
pathological cases it can dominate your life, such as "the boy who couldn=
't stop
washing," in the book of the same title. Presumably, Samuel Johnson suff=
ered
from it. He had all sorts of rituals that he had to perform. It runs in=
our
family!
