Only ASCII & Latin-1. No HTML, no UTF-8, not even Latin-x for x > 1.

Hm? Its own alphabet, of course. Or a Roman transcription.
Mark R uses GIFs to show the native alphabet of the language, and there
he uses straight IPA -- which is, of course, simple in an image.
