I'm off-list for the time being...

I just checked the egroups archives because I thought there was a spam
attempt. I realized that I never sent a note. I have had to set myself
nomail for the time being. I will defend my dissertation at the end of
April, and I just don't have the time to read 800 messages a month.

I read a few recent discussions while scanning the archives, and I'm
impressed at how much good stuff I'm missing -- and I do miss CONLANG.

Some list admin trivia.

I may, in the next few days, invoke a listserv feature called "renewal".
This would cause listserv to send a message to every  subscription address,
requesting a confirmation of subscription. This would allow me to purge
old, bouncing addresses that have been set nomail but never deleted. We'd
also get an accurate count of current subscribers which might be of some
interest.

Some of you have special setups because of reply addresses that differ from
your delivery addresses. When I do this, if you are set up this way, or
can't get your confirmation to work, send me personal mail, or send mail to
conlang-request@brownvm.brown.edu (which also gets to me).
