Something that naturally appears as that color presumably looks that way
because it absorbs light in the turquoise range (and also ultraviolet, but
we can't see that). So it would appear to be a complementary color (ranging
from red to magenta, depending on how much red is in it, which is invisible
to Zireen). I pretty much arbitrarily picked a pinkish shade in that
general area as the focal color of /gira/.
What would be really cool is to take black-and-white pictures of things
with different filters, and measure the lightness to detect what colors a
Zireen would perceive. But that would require special equipment, learning
how to do ultraviolet photography, and lots of spare time....
