Could be. I know I pronounce the word /d@"wO:vz/, but I say /ru:vz/ for
`roofs' and such, I think I just have a regular voicing when I pluralise
-f words (of course, it wouldn't make sense if I'd said f-words, so don't
suggest that you horrible people!)
