In which ways does it resemble Valyan? The phonologies are not very

Possibly, though this was not what I had in mind. I was rather thinking
of a terminally ill old man who, rather than clinging to a life he could
not uphold, consciously allowed himself to die. But I admit this is not
a well-chosen example.
