minimal roots

I'm looking for a list of minimal roots (no, not the speedtalk disease!)
for my current conlang progject.  The shortest list I have right now is
400 roots; any shorter ones?

I seem to recall a list of the couple hundred roots every language must
have, but I don't know what I did with it.  Grr.  ORganization.
