That's interesting.  In the US, I don't recall learning anything about
Ireland in school, except for things like when the Irish imigrated to
America, and why (probably not all that accurate, too).  Also, I think
if you asked the average high school student--probably even average
American--they wouldn't know that there is such a language as Irish
(or Gaelic).  So it's just interesting to know that such things are
studied
elsewhere.
