If you're interested in comparison across different Turkic languages,
there's a Dictionary of Turkic Languages out there (amazon link below).
It covers Azeri, Kazak, Kyrgyz, Tatar, Turkish, Turkmen, Uyghur, and
Uzbek.  Each entry starts with the English word, then is followed by the
word in each of the above languages.  For lexical comparison, it's
pretty nice.  If you need just a few entries, I'd be happy to look them
up for you.
