Yes. What we call 'Gothic' they called 'Moeso-Gothic' -- a term which incidentally may have some usefulness, although not the one they intended.

Yep. If you curse them remember to do it in German, or they will not understand. Gothic might of course be an alternative. BTW this is not to say that there are not still people who believe in a North-East Germanic grouping.
