Maybe it's a problem of euphonia. "a handsome slim Canadian snowboarder" is
correct if we consideronly the meaning of the adjectives, but I can understand
that there is a natural tendency to avoid sequences like long adjective-short
adjective-long adjective for euphonic reasons. It's true that the sequence
short adjective-long adjective-long adjective would be much nicer to the ear.
