Grammatical scissors are my favorite conlanging tool :)
You can make evolutionary leaps -- discontinuous changes -- with a conlang
which are not possible in a naturally evolving language. Agreement problems
are among the most easily solved for a conlang (for a conlang which does not
have as its goal to simulate a natlang, that is), IMNSHO.
