What with my death threats to poor Rob Hailman it seems that I'm the list's
token "North-American-usage-phobe", so I just thought I'd like to clear my
name a bit. I think that y'all is pretty funky- in my own idiolect I tend to
say "youse" for the second person plural, a usage picked up from my scottish
father. However, when I'm around my family I tend to use tha /T@/ for the
singular and yer /j@/ for the plural. Ah, different speech patterns for
different company. Feel free to disseminate, ridicule, tease etc. :-).
