Yeah, I think I may have unintentionally borrowed my
exceptions from you. I now remember vaguely reading a
post from you about that a while ago, I think. I
didn't directly have it in mind when I invented my
system, but it was probably in the background
somewhere. The basic 4-gender system of personal,
animate, inanimate living, and non-living is one of my
long-standing ideas, though I never thought of
splitting animals between the two categories till
recently.
