Like many langs, Omina has no words for specific very large numbers. Above 12, numbers are usually given as "eta" (lit., 'a throng of something'), or -eta is used as a suffix to indicate a collection of related things: i.e., ti "faint star" : tieta "open cluster". Indeed in one of the dialects, -eta has become simply a plural suffix -ed (classical Omina has no nominal pluraliser) Mike
