IIRC, those are in selma'o (grammatical category) UI, in which case
they apply to "what comes before them" (loosely speaking), or to the
clause as a whole if they are clause-initial.
So you could attach them to a "noun" (sumti, argument) or a "verb"
(selbri, relation), too, by putting them after the word you're
modifying.
