Every language does that. When they borrow a word, it becomes a word in
their language, which they are then free to change as they desire (look
at how Japanese creates a lot of new words like bakkumiraa [back-mirror]
for "rear-view mirror"). Since English does not have gramatical gender
(except in pronouns), it's pointless to try to import it that foreign
concept into English, altho it's been done in writing with blond/blonde
more-or-less.
Besides, English doesn't even use "bravo" as an adjective, it's an
interjection, like "congratulations".
