Swahili Gender System - A few more comments

I suppose sometimes the gender system actually increases conciseness,
since Swahili is pro-drop:

nakisoma
ni-a-ki-som-a
I:subj-simple:present-it(ki class)-read-indicative

Since a book is ki class, this would probably be heard as "I read the
book". But I still think overall the agreements actually make it take
more rather than less time to say anything.
