Do you mean Circumcision? That's not just Catholic, it's Christian. We
Lutherans also call it "The Name of the Lord", or something similar.
Circumcission (and naming) is traditionally one week after birth,
therefore, if Christ had been born on Dec. 25, he would have been
circumcised (and named) on Jan. 1.
