And, what do you know, we have just such a sentient machine posting to
Conlang! Unfortunately, it's still got some bugs in the works, so it posts
only semi-comprehensibly and usually with inflammatory results. As for its
language, that too is still in the works, although early results hint at
possible confusion and high degrees of similitude and synonymity.
Fortunately, it is a machine, so it can handle such parsimonious words; us
mere mortals will learn to adjust, no doubt.
One does breath a sigh of thanks that it is at least more advanced than the
previous sentient machine, which was never programmed to include previous
messages in its replies and had the nasty habit of posting random statements
that made little to no sense.
Now how many mailing lists can claim to have its own sentient 'bot? Oh brave
new world, that has such robots in it! :)
