Back just after man swung down from the trees and discovered fire:
1. Bracketting in underscores was synonymous for typewriter underlining
which was, itself, symbolic of bolding.
2. Bracketting in quotes, when not indicating dialogue, was symbolic for
italicizing.
Now my head hurts.
