Well, if more German speakers had responded with the names of their home
towns and nearby cities back when I was asking for them, there would have
been more German names on the list. It's as simple as that. If people think
this is a useful resource, I can keep expanding it. Just reply with the
name of your home town, its pronunciation (preferably in one of the
varieties of ASCII-IPA), and any other names in the region that you want to
include.
