Apparently the story with Lake Chargoggagoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaugg
is that the original name is "chaubunagungamaugg" = "fishing place at
the boundary". "Manchaug" is the area around the lake.
The longer name parses as "Englishmen at Manchaug, the fishing place
at the boundary."
Nowadays the name is jocularly translated as "You fish on your side,
we fish on our side, nobody fishes in the middle."
