FYI, I found it; apparently it used to be in the article Ablaut,
which has now been renamed Indo-European ablaut. It was moved to the
talk page because it didn't tie in too well with the article.
(This is a case where the Wikipedia clones -- in this case one called
NationMaster -- come in handy. I found the NationMaster page with
Google, and as luck would have it, their copy preserves the old
Wikipedia wording.)
