Perhaps that should have been "...the Incomparable Hildegarde?" Back in the
40s/50s she had a little 15-min. radio program around about dinnertime that
we heard often. Sponsored by Chesterfield (that was a brand of cigarette,
for you youngsters). Her theme song was "Darling, je vous aime beaucoup..."
delivered in a voice that suggested she'd indulged way too much in the
sponsor's product :-)))))
