Very true, a fresh perspective is great. However, he completely ignored
Proto-Semitic and Proto-Sino-Tibetan and used PIE, Proto-Mayan and
Proto-Finno-Ugric as his examples. Not only that, I do find the explanations
easier to follow when the examples are from the Indo-European family.
Tedious and repetitive, yes, but easy to follow.
