Nobody seems to note that "pregnant chad" is
only at all likely to be created when the voting
device has not been cleaned out. All the chad
in it serves as a cushion.

Some hand "punches" for paper can have the
same problem.

Seems to me that there was insufficient staffing
(or more than the expected number of voters)
in many areas. So things like dumping out the
accumulated chad never got done -- at least in
some of the big cities.

We may need to spend less on campaigns and more on voting devices/machines that work.
