Two days, normally. The rule is that you have 48 hours to complete your text
and pass it on to the next candidate; if twelve hours after your 48 hours
expired this person hasn't received anything from you, the person preceding you
sends his text to the person following you.
In my opinion, the last few relays have been too liberal with delays. The
unfortunate mechanism is that one delay automatically cause heavy delays among
the people who follow, and as a result, these relays were concluded months too
late or not at all. I think the relay master should enforce the rules and the
schedule very strictly this time; most people have grown tired of waiting...
