If I could make a suggestion, when I first signed up for this list it was
under the AOL screenname Digital Scream. That was my only e-mail address.
Pretty soon, I started receiving about 100 spams a day, so I abandoned it and
made a new one (Languation) for my personal use. Later, I created this
screenname just for conlang. This left Digital Scream with nothing, but I kept it
around specifically for surfing the web. So, whenever anything anywhere asks
for an e-mail address, I give Digital Scream. If they actually send me
something I need, I can easily pop on and read/download it, but otherwise, I just let
it fill up with spam. Currently, there's about 600 e-mails (I empty it
every month or so). The wonderful part is that I get very little spam on
Languation (maybe one piece a day), and even fewer on this screenname (maybe one a
week). So my suggestion is to set up a dummy account and use it exclusively
for all web-related purposes, and only use your other accounts for listservs and
personal/business correspondence.
