Indeed we had. I remember it because I started the thread.
The thread's name was 'Plural vowel change'.
It was John Cowan, who on 27 Jan, 1999 wrote:
"U-umlaut rounds (not backs) i to y, e to =F8, a to =E5=20
(here in its old value of IPA [O]). =20
Examples: ON h=E5nd vs. OE hand; ON syngvan vs. OE singan;
genitive jar=F0ar vs. nominative j=E5r=F0."
