Funny, apart from [V]->[O], this looks a bit like a German accent when trying to immitate an American: |but| [bOt] <- no German accent |from| [fr\am] <- a German trying to sound American |father| [faD6] <- a German |bad| [bEt] <- a German :-))) But wait, it's a sound shift not starting from BE, so |from| is not a good examples for [O]. For the examples on the next page, it does not work so well anymore as a German accent. **Henrik
