Uatakassi doesn't use a verb at all. It uses an auxiliary with other
verbs. For example, for food, you'd say "I enjoy eating X". The
default, when no other verb is applicable, is to use "see".
Japanese uses an adjective, _suki_, roughly "likeable". Thus, to say "I
like pie" you'd say _(Watashi wa) pai ga suki_ "(As for me) pie is
likeable". There is a transitive verb _suku_ "to like", but it's rarely
used. Mostly only in cases where the adjective is gramatically
impossible.
