Yeah, well (slightly embarrassed pause)... When I was first creating the phonology I thought that the Nahuatl /tl/ WAS a /tl/. Then I started reading words and sentences and found that half the time I was saying /tK/. Then I investigated Nahuatl a little more thoroughly and found that their phoneme was /tK/, so changed it. But sometimes it still sounds better (or naturally comes out) as /tl/, so I made the two allophones to allow for my own speech patterns.
