Indeed. First thing I do upon acquisition of a new laptop (a
semi-regular occurrence in my line of work) is track down the full
version of the touchpad driver (Synaptics or whatever) so I can get
the "switch off touchpad when a mouse is plugged in" option. (With no
mouse, I regard the touchpad as a necessary evil; the little nubbins
are nigh-useless...)
