I see their point, certainly. Language extinction *is* a tragedy, and
one that must, in my opinion, be averted at all costs. And I can
certainly see that the slogan could be considered to belittle the
issue. Though it's not intended to do such (and hence should not be
considered offensive, exactly), it does not send the best of messages.
I think we could probably get something better. Perhaps 'Fight language
extinction while simultaneously creating languages' ;-)
