    I guess the problem wasn't fixed after all.  When I call up the Fonts
list in Acrobat Reader, it tells me that subsets of the three symbol fonts
used (WPMultinationalARoman, WPMultinationalBRoman, and WPPhonetic) have
embedded subsets in the document, but that doesn't seem to be actually
happening.  (Naturally it looks nearly OK on my own machine, since these
are a part of the WordPerfect installation and I have WP8 on my system.)
    It's starting to look more and more as though this isn't going to work
until I can upgrade Word Perfect to one of the more recent versions that
can create PDF files directly (which, in turn, will require that I upgrade
my operating system from Win95, which will require that I upgrade my whole
computer...)  :-(
