Perhaps it would be something similar to the Christian idea of salvation. Those who worship the Sun do not truly die. They're reincarnated, or they're brought to the Land of the Sun, a land of eternal light and goodness. Or even closer to Christianity, there will be a Resurrection Day at some point in the future.
