It is either /doble"be/ ("doble-ve") or /doble"u/ ("doble-u") for me in
Colombian Spanish. In Spain they say /ube"doble/ ("uve doble"), add
standard fricatization or aproximation of voiced stops. Note than in
Spanish the /e/ is [e] withouth that diphthong [ej] phrasebooks suggest
by "ay".
I once heard in a comertial in Cable TV /doble"u doble"be ube"doble/ for
WWW. I thought it was nice. In the media they usually say
/tripledoble"u/ ("triple doble-u"), at least here in Colombia.
