The solution is easy. Leave the radiation source
exposed enough so that any animals that approach it
die quickly. Seeing the immediate area littered with
dead animals should be deterrent enough. And if not,
seeing his buddy drop dead right in front of him
should get the message through to even the most
stubborn fool, who will then pass the message along by
word of mouth in whatever language is then current.
In other words, let the radioactive medium be the
message. Problem solved.
