I've often been annoyed by that, reading Linguist List archives (and
archives of other lists they host). Sometimes, too, I find two copies
of the same posting, one in that horrid bold format, and the other
looking more normal; the non-bold version of the above post is
available at <http://linguistlist.org/issues/6/6-52.html>. I'm not
sure why they have it available in two formats in two places; perhaps
one is the raw archive of the mailing list, while the other is an
edited digest sort of thing?
