I think it's kind of funny, and I'm a glorious
eighteen. In some of my earlier, long-forgotten
conlangs (which, by the way, were shameless clones of
the Germanic languages), using the neuter gender with
a person's name was a great insult. The effect was
something like denying that they're a person.
Gi-an-nain, having no gender, has to rely on slightly
less-subtle means, like /<person's
name>-haubà/"<person's name>-beast". Same effect,
same impact.
