Another possibility is the centering diphthong [yə̯] ([y@_^]), though if I remember
correctly, that
diphthong in Middle High German developed not from [y] or [ʏ], but from umlauted [uo̯]. But if
[oː] could develop into [uo], then a development from [ʏː] into [yə] would seem
equally plausible
to me.
