The sun is a G class star - Ks are a bit smaller and redder. Remember the
famous mnemonic
Oh Be A Fine Girl Kiss Me Right Now!
One of my lecturers at Durham accidently started off a competition to
devise an alternative, and for the rest of the term would come into
lectures to find various slogans written on the board. These included
Only Barmy Astronomers Find Great Kudos in Mnemonics
And my own effort, which included an element of topic satire,
On Baking Atoll, Frenchmen Grill Kippers Majestically (Recherche Nucleaire!)
It may be added that research by several astronomers has discovered that
the original version is not a particularly effective chat-up line. And
neither is "Fancy a night out with the stars?"
