There are very crude workarounds, which is about the limit that my skills
can rise to. Create a copy of the file. Either:
(a) Do a search and replace deleting all nonbold text. Then count words.
or
(b) Do a search and replace deleting all paragraphs. Do another search
and replace inserting a paragraph marker at the start of each word in
bold. Then count paragraphs.
If you don't know how to do this, I can tell you. But I'm sure other
people will be able to suggest less brute-force methods.

Try option (b) (or (a) and then convert spaces to para markers). Sort
alphabetically. Then manually delete duplicates. Then count.
Or, suck up to one of our many perl-literate brethren.
There are ways you could automatically convert your file contents into
a Word table. If you have one rwo per Kash word, then you can automatically
number the rows, which will of course tell you the number of Kash words.
As I say, I'd be happy to advise further on the details, but don't want to
force any more of these crudities on you unsolicited!
