In Okaikiar, the (temporal mode) locative of "day" would just mean "on
a/the day", with no special reference to the *current* day. The idea
of "today" is expressed by a phrase that literally means "now's day"
(where "now" is the noun rather than the adverb). I would include the
translations but I don't have my lexicon handy...
