I was exactly the same way when I was a child. This is the first time
I've ever heard of this phenomenon in another person. It's no longer with
me, though. I think it left when I was a teenager. I do still have some
other OCD habits, though. It sometimes takes me a long time to leave my
house, because I keep going back to the door to make sure it's *really*
locked.
ObConlang: Although it wasn't a conscious reason, this might be why I gave
Gladilatian the word, "zvrna", meaning "balanced, especially with regards to
left and right", and had the gladifers consider it a to be a form of
"appropriate".
