IIRC Sino-Caucasian is an offshoot of Nostratic theory, or maybe
Proto-World, both controversial, some would say loony, attempts to relate
IE, Dravidian, Caucasian, Semitic or whatever, into one grand
Proto-language. There's a little book by one Vitalij Shevoroshkin, and a
big book or two by one Dolgopolsky, if you want to look into it further.
Have a full salt-shaker handy.
