The IPA have adopted their first new symbol in twelve years. http://www.sil.org/sil/news/2005/labiodental_flap.htm I propose /v`/ for the CXS representation, mainly for graphic reasons, but I think there's iconism between the tappish and flappish nature of some rhotics, and the use of /`/ in a lot of those sounds.
